Not too long ago, Marvel’s Cinematic world brought us Infinity War, and to almost everyone’s knowledge, the very first trailer of The Avengers: Infinity War set the world record for most watched debut trailer by a cinematic studio. It generated 238 Million views in just 24 hours. It seemed like no movie trailer would beat this record, and until today, that still remains the fact of the matter, but one very famous classic did try and almost succeeded, which is as close as any movie or studio has gotten to beating that impressive view count.
Yes , it is the Live Action remake of Disney’s 1994 animated classic; The Lion King. The trailer for Disney’s upcoming Lion King remake scored record views online for Walt Disney Studios for its’ debut on November 23rd (in Indonesia). According to Variety. The first-ever-teaser for Jon Favreau’s live-action reimagining of the classic, generated 224.6 million global views in the first 24 hours, placing the teaser trailer as the second most viewed debut trailer in history right after Infinity War. Today, the 2019 Lion King debut trailer has reached 52 Million views on YouTube alone. Not just on YouTube, This version of Lion King also created a lot of buzz on other social platforms, such as Twitter. There was roughly 104K posts regarding the upcoming (2019) Lion King in Indonesia alone, and over 300 of this estimated volume captured were in Bahasa Indonesia. Also, we found an estimated number of over 1 million posts in Indonesia, about the “Lion King” in general, accumulated from conversations in both English and Bahasa. All of these conversations were captured from November 23rd up until December 3rd 2018. Not to mention the 466.693 likes generated by the post announcing the remake’s record viewing on Disney’s official Instagram account.
However, the trailer’s release, there has been some talks regarding the reimagined version being called the “Live Action” movie. It seems as if the internet just continued to explode this week regarding the upcoming Jon Favreau remake film. There were so many conversations debating whether of not this version of the Lion King is suitable to be called a “Live Action” movie, since the filming was completely done in studios in front of a blue screen and is in fact will be a full 3D animated movie. Here are some of the conversations that have been flooding the internet (Yes, we mean in a global scale);
"We copied the hard work and talent from creative original minds and slapped hyper realistic fur on Seth Rogan and called it a work of art to resell you your own childhood and you're buying it hahaha" https://t.co/6CyBLlWZHg

Now, the internet is not all filled with negative or confused comment about the trailer and overall concept of this remake. Here are some of the more excited, and… understanding posts that created alot of global buzz:
So next year, The Lion King is totally going to cause a world of controversy over whether or not it competes as an animated film right? At least The Jungle Book had a live action character. This looks like the first time a film could ever win both VFX and Animated Feature

People really out here tripping that the Lion King isn’t actually “live action” but just animated, as if training thousands of wild animals and filming them having conversations is just some normal, doable shit.
