Lalala Fest: How did it unravel on Social?

We’re sure you’ve heard about the event of the season, the 2019 International Forest Festival or known to most as Lalala Fest, a music festival held at the Cikole forest of Bandung were Orchids are preserved and apparently where music is played, showcasing performances from big local performers and international artists. However, it looks like things took a rather muddy turn for the music festival, especially for attendees. Local Netizens especially Lalala Fest attendees are exploding on social, the backlash is evident, mainly due to the bad weather changes that we are currently experiencing. We took the liberty in monitoring social conversations about Lalala Fest. This event started off as a promising one, catering to the millennial generation’s curiousity and need for a unique experience to share and well…post on their feed. So, it is no surprise that a lot of local brands had branched out to it ( …see what we did there? ). Therefore, we were also curious to see which brands got themselves tangled into the social wrath of netizens. To be fair, after a three day monitoring period, other than the 6.405 negative post captured, our tool also found 4.050 positive post out of a number of 11.768 total buzz, and what people did enjoy about the event with posts mentioned compliments such as “seru”, “asik” and “unik” which translates to a “fun” and “unique” experience, despite the fall out that seemed to occur.
